Error Message by Knoppix PCMCIA found, starting cardmgr

try typing the following at the boot prompt:

knoppix nopcmcia

or

knoppix acpi=off

Knoppix stuck on message “pcmcia found starting cardmgr”

booting with “knoppix nopcmcia” fixed the problem

This was on a acer travelmate 4100 laptop, i wouldnt need the pcmcia card anyway..
