To save your time from recreating Mac OS X’s drop shadow setting from scratch in Photoshop, here’s style set you can download and double-click on file to install into Photoshop’s Style palette window. Pick a layer you want to apply this style to and click a style in Style palette window. The settings are 98% accurate to Mac OS X’s drop shadow.

Before we begin, this tutorial will show you my attempt at recreating the os x wallpaper eye candy. I have no clue to the actual process of creating the wallpaper, but I believe this closely recreates (and I hope you do too) the effect with relative ease.

Und so wird es in loser Folge auf screenz Aktionen geben, mit denen sich solche Hüllen ohne großen Aufwand gestalten lassen. Die Aktion eignet sich auch sehr schön um größere Icons oder Symbole zu erstellen.

Um eine Box wie sie oben dargestellt ist in Photoshop zu gestalten, müssen einfach nur Aktion und Photoshop-Vorlage heruntergeladen und angepasst werden. Wie das geht zeigt der Screencast.

Mit Hilfe dieser Anleitung möchte ich zeigen, wie man mit Photoshop nachträglich Wassertropfen auf ein Blatt zaubern kann.

Zu Beginn dieses Tutorials werfen wir erst einmal einen Blick auf das Ergebnis. Die selbst erstellten Wassertropfen glitzern auf einem Blatt.

Das in dieser Anleitung verwendete Bild könnt ihr euch hier herunterladen. (Windows: rechte Maustaste - “Ziel speichern unter”). Öffnet dann das Bild in Photoshop und los geht’s:

Schritt 1
Zunächst erstellen wir ein neues Ebenenset und benennen es mit Tropfen. Die Arbeit mit dem Ebenenset erleichtert uns später das Duplizieren der einzelnen Wassertropfen.

Wir erstellen jetzt eine neue Ebene ([Shift]+[Strg]+N oder Mausklick auf das entsprechende Symbol in der Ebenenpalette). Dieser Ebene geben wir den Namen Drop. Auf dieser Ebene erstellen wir mit Hilfe des Auswahlellipsen-Werkzeugs einen Kreis, ähnlich wie in der nächsten Abbildung.

Für den folgenden Schritt stellen wir noch sicher, dass die Vordergrundfarbe schwarz und die Hintergrundfarbe weiß ist. Dazu drücken wir einfach die Buchstabentaste D.

Schritt 2
Wir füllen jetzt unsere erstellte Ellipse mit einem linearen Verlauf.

Anschließend heben wir die Auswahl mit [Strg]+D auf.

Most likely, most of us have had to register at a site in order to view content, download something, etc. It’s irritating that in order to get our stuff, we have to register (and suffer through the inevitable spam that follows). Spambox can help you avoid that.
